Our Love Story

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa has rich Texas roots. Nestled on 300 acres, our resort is placed on the Rogers-Wiseman family ranch. Founded in 1851, this working cattle ranch was home to three generations of the Rogers-Wiseman family.

The family’s third generation start their love story in 1933. Ed Wiseman was a ranch-hand on the property. Soon after moving to his new home, Ed fell in love with the natural landscape. The land’s lush greenery, rolling hillsides, shady oak trees, serene ponds, and wildflower meadows still reside on our resort property today. In 1934, Ed fell in love for a second time with the ranch owner’s daughter, Blanche Rogers. With his new family’s blessing, the couple were married on our beautiful property the next year.

In 1993, 60 years later, Ed gave us the honor of preserving his beautiful family ranch and sharing his home with other families for years to come. Three generations of weddings, special moments, and family are deeply enriched into our resort’s culture. Aunt Mary’s Lawn
Nestled in the center of the property, Aunt Mary’s Lawn offers the elegant backdrop of our country-style resort and gorgeous oak trees, as the perfect setting for your outdoor San Antonio wedding. Earning its name from Henry’s wife, Mary, this location honors the long family history of this property, dating back to 1882. “Aunt Mary” was known throughout the San Antonio area for making a fresh pitcher of her famous sweet tea whenever she saw guests approaching the ranch. And just like its namesake, this venue will bring your family and friends together to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Courtyard Deck
This scenic deck is located in a private area adjacent to our ballroom facilities. Surrounded by mature trees, it was designed for events with Hill Country charm in mind. The Courtyard Deck may be used by itself for your ceremony, dinner or reception, or in conjunction with our ballrooms.

Personal Preference allow your guests to personalize their dining experience. Treat them to an elegant four course meal. You choose the appetizer, salad, and offer your guests to choose their entrée, tableside with their server the night of the celebration.

Confirmation of Space and Deposits

An initial nonrefundable deposit of $2,000.00 is required to confirm your date along with a signed contract.

Enhancements

Little touches can enhance your wedding– from late night snacks, to next morning brunches, to gift bags delivered to
your guest rooms. Allow our team to embellish your experience with delighters to elevate your special day.

Guest Accommodations

A room block may be setup for guests attending your event. Check in time is 4:00pm, and check out time is 11 a.m. If you would like to setup a block of rooms, a minimum of ten guestrooms must be guaranteed or the prevailing hotel rate will be offered.

Rehearsal Dinner

Entertain your closest friends and family in an elegant and intimate setting, by having your rehearsal dinner in one of our private spaces. We will help you customize a menu and other details, so you can concentrate on your upcoming big day.

Family Brunch

The perfect ending to the perfect weekend. Treat your overnight guests to breakfast the next day. Your wedding coordinator will arrange for a private room with dedicated waiters to serve your guests. This final touch will allow you to reminisce about the wedding and wish everyone farewell before you leave for your honeymoon.

Parking

Our resort offers complimentary self-parking for all of your guests. Valet service is available as well for an additional service fee.

Tasting

With so many delicious custom menu options, it is hard to make a decision on what to eat on your big day! Luckily we provide a complimentary Tasting of our delicious Wedding Menu Selections for you, your fiancé, and two additional guests a month prior to the big day.
